AKE PANGESTUTI ( President) San Francisco - Alumna of The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences

Ake is dedicated to supporting Indonesian heritage in America, focusing on children and seniors. With a background in communications, she aids organizations like Alzheimer’s Indonesia San Francisco Chapter and Givelight Foundation through PR and social media. Outside work, she's a marathon runner, hiker, and world traveler with her family. A self-taught graphic designer, Ake has created digital scrapbooking designs published in magazines and books. She pursued Communication Graduate classes at the University of Illinois Chicago after working as a Public Relations consultant in Jakarta. Passionate about making a difference, Ake blends her skills and interests to serve her community and beyond.

PRISCA NOVITA, (Vice President) San Francisco - Alumna of the Faculty of Psychology

Prisca is a seasoned Human Resource (HR) Professional, boasting two decades of expertise in Total Reward, HRIS & Global Mobility across Indonesia and the US. Armed with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Applied Psychology in HR from the University of Indonesia, she stands out in her field. Additionally, Prisca holds the esteemed title of Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) from "WorldatWork", a prestigious US-based association for Total Reward professionals. Presently, she applies her skills in the homeowners' association management sector, catering to diverse communities in the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area.

TRISNI BOUCHACOURT, (Treasurer) New Jersey - Alumna of the Faculty of Business and Economics

Trisni earned her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Indonesia and her MBA degree in Finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her diverse work background spans management consulting, cost management, corporate finance, accounting, and EPIC Electronic Medical Record systems across three countries: Indonesia, France, and the U.S. Fluent in French, Bahasa Indonesia, and English, Trisni currently contributes her expertise to the Market Analytics team at Village MD, a leading provider of value-based primary care services in the U.S. Based in New Jersey, she actively engages with the local community.

DEBBIE SUMUAL-PATLIS, (Past President 2020-2024) New York - Alumna of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences

Debbie is a seasoned media professional with a diverse career trajectory. Beginning at Voice of America (VOA) in Washington, DC, she later transitioned to the New York Blood Centre in New York City. Her humanitarian endeavors are noteworthy, particularly her impactful work with Mercy Corps Indonesia during the devastating 2004 tsunami in Aceh. Debbie's commitment to storytelling is evident in her management and publication of "Kiamat Sudah Lewat" (Doomsday is Over), a collection of narratives from child survivors, now housed at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. Furthermore, Debbie is a co-founder of Rumah Indonesia, established in 2012. This DC-based organization champions Indonesian cultures in the U.S., fostering mutual understanding and respect between communities.

EMIL RANAKUSUMA, (Past President 2013-2020) Virginia - Alumnus of the Faculty of Business and Economics

After graduating from Universitas Indonesia, Emil furthered his education and earned in Marketing from Cleveland State University. With extensive experience including business consulting, retail, advertising agencies, and marketing research firms in Indonesia and the United States, Emil embarked on entrepreneurship. Presently, he manages two Subway and a Hangry Joe’s restaurants in Maryland. Actively involved in multiple organizations like the National Asian/Pacific Islander American Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurship, Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce, and the International Franchise Association, Emil's leadership extends to environmental initiatives as Vice-Chairman of the Indonesian Green Club and Chairman of Dompet Dhuafa USA from 2017-2021.
